best waterer for chickens

I have had the white with red bottom waterers for long time ...I just hated the chickens sitting on top and pooping in the water!!! so when I was at tsc they had these green ones that the top is bigger around than the base where the water is...and I bought one and I just love it ...

I will never get another kind again...it is the easyfill version also...and the float system works very good...I have it on a cinder block and the 5 week old chicks love it....jeff

I have the red ones and even with the floater set in, they leak. I would like to know how to make then work.
