Candelabra was missing for nearly a week. We found him hiding under a deck today right before the hard freeze hit. He's healthy and safe, but his backside is covered in what appears to be diarrhea or very runny stool. There's too much for him to reasonably clean off. What's the best way to clean him up? Hopefully without traumatizing him further? It's kind of dried in at this point.

There’s an awesome article by @Fur-N-Fowl that’s all about bathing silkies and removing stains. I would go check that out!

Here’s a link to the article: https://www.backyardchickens.com/articles/bathing-silkies-how-to-keep-them-bright-fluffy.75262/

Thanks! I bathe my cockatiel due to a leg disorder. But she's not that fluffy. This dude is all fluff. I've bathed a fluffy cat a few times, which is *not* the same and ruins both the cat and Human's day.

Are baths hard on chickens? The dude has had a rough go of things lately. Trying to keep him in a calm environment for more than a day to let him recover!
