Best way to clean poopy butts on 3-day old chicks?

I use suaghpaw & sons grain $8 a 50# bag for layer , cracked corn is $6. Their on route 9H just north of Clairmont. Bruno's has some of the best feed acrossed from the Columbia county airport for $6.50 a 50# bag of layer & 5 for cracked corn. Bruno's is a bit further of a drive for me. Brunos feed isn't ground as fine, & there seems to be less waist. Both sellers have a 2% higher protein level than the store bought brands.

Haven't had any pasty butt yet, but how about warm water and a baby toothbrush--they're really small and really soft so I think it would work well. I read about someone else on here doing that and being very happy with the results so put it in my future ref. file of good ideas.
