Best Way To Control Mites?

Can you use non-food grade DE for dusting around the Coop. My flock is less than A year old, but I have some sparrow issues. Let me know I just dont want to have my birds infested just yet.

Personally, if all I had access to was the NON food grade, I would totally skip it altogether.

Does anyone from Mesa Arizona know where to get food grade DE from, as well as a dusting tube other than Randall Burkeys product. ( this in no way detracts from their store I just dont want to pay shipping LOL)

I order my Food Grade DE from the link below... $25.00 for 50# and I think the shipping was only 13.00 - definately the least expensive I found!

My local feed store carries food grade DE. I was shocked but sure enough they have it - in 50 lb bags. I have enough to last awhile, but it beats having it shipped....

I get my food grade DE from a local organic gardening company (Geo Growers, in case any one reading this is in my area). They are great and special order 50# bags for me for like $30ish. So you might want to check and see if you can get some via a garden center.
