A few days ago we found a large piece of glass the chickens had dug up in the run. We have no idea how it got there, but I want to now be proactive incase one of them got cut by it. What is the best way to give a chicken foot bath? I want to clean their feet off and check for cuts. I'm thinking a little bit of antibacterial dish soap or apple cider vinegar?

Any suggestions?

Thanks everyone and have a great weekend!

I've only washed my chickens feet a couple times, but when people are washing chicken feet for shows I think they let them stand in water to soak and then use an old tooth brush to scrub all the dirt away. My hens have gotten cut feet pretty badly, leaving bloody foot prints, but they healed up without any medication. We did, however, have to stop the bleeding. We have a lot of glass that broke here before we moved so our chickens dig it up all the time.

I hope this helps. Best of luck!
