Best way to raise humidity? Urgent!

On my humidity tests, I found a bowl about 4 in across gave about 50% humidity.
Of course, that's only in my incubator and the size of your system will have an effect on this.

I just put the bowl in, hopefully that helps The pipped egg hatched! Unfortunately it’s navel( if that’s what it’s called) is still a bit open, and after the chick pulled of the ambilico cord, it bled a little

The causes of an unhealed navel are:
1. High incubator temperature or wide fluctuations in temperature.
2. Low temperature in hatcher.
3. Humidity too high in hatcher or not lowered when hatching complete.
4. Inadequate breeder nutrition.

I think the cause would be 1. Just wondering, do you think it would be ok to put some neosporin on the navel so it doesn’t get infected? Or should I let it be?

So far no other external pips(I think), and I’m not sure if there’s any more internal

Do you have a basement?

Supposedly basements are often more humid than upstairs. Also, the air outside is more humid this time of year anyway...but of course a closed incubator is maybe cut off from that effect.

I do have a basement, and the humidity is higher down there, but unfortunately it’s too cold for the incubator to be at the right temp, even on the highest heat setting!

I'd leave it where it is. After the chick is dry, you might want to put a little neosporin, or a little betadine solution on the cord. Keep an eye, so it doesn't get infected. Other than that, it should be ok.
