Best way to stop a egg eater

I saw that you can put soap in the eggs. What do you think about that?

I blow out the eggs and put vinegar, tobasco or sri racha sauce in them. Whether they can taste the hot or not (which I've heard that they cannot) they don't seem to enjoy their nasty surprise. I've had really good results with this.

OK, I will try the vinigar because we have no hot sauce. I tried putting soap in the eggs but they liked it!
I'm thinking of making wood eggs and painting them. Has anybody done that and what was the results?

LOL eww! I can't believe they liked the soap! They'll be laying some very clean eggs tomorrow!

I tried golf balls to stop egg eating before but my hen ended up chipping her upper and lower beak. It was horrible because her lower beak will never be the same.

We have had golf balls in there nesting boxes but it isn't working any more. That why I'm going to try making wooden eggs.
