I have found lots of info on how to worm chickens but needing details on waterfowl?
What to use? Best Dosage? I prefer to dose individually to ensure proper amount and i do not have to many to deal with.
I am going to pick up some solution to do my own fecals from my vet. I have my own microscope and my mother was a vet tech for over 20 years.

but we are new to waterfowl and vet said get some ideas and he would check also as he is learning the birds with me.

I wormed my mandarins last year, and I used the ivermectin paste. I use 0.5 cc and squirted it into their mouths. I redid it 10 days later. You can also use the ivermectin pour on, but i dont know the dosage.

what about tapes? I have Quest onhand

I am trying to get all i may need in one run

Do you mean tapeworms? I thought that ivermectin kills all types of worms, but I could be wrong

ETA: I looked it up and it says it will kill tapeworms.

Yeah Tapeworms are like the ony thing Ivermectin won't kill. I use it often with all the rescue we do. Pretty safe but wont get tapes. I don't even know how likely waterfowl are to get tapes

ETA: Many times they will say that they will but time has told many that ivermectin does not get tapeworms.

Probably not very likely to get it. I read somewhere that it is rare for waterfowl to get worms, as they drink so much water that if they do ingest worm eggs, etc, that they are flushed out so quickly that the worms dont have time to grow (or something like that).
