Betta fish being picky

My betta only eats flakes and I've heard that most flakes are full of fillers and arnt that good, what should I do

Have you tried giving frozen food, like bloodworms or brineshrimp?
Also, what kind of pellets have you tried? Maybe he just doesn't like those particular ones?

Also shes a koi betta, her name is sparkler, and I got her last week, shes a good eater but she completely ignores the pellets

It's just the bettamin pellets, and no but I've tried live food from my mealworm farm

Okay, so I would definitely try some frozen food then. For pellets, you could try Hikari or BugBites betta pellets.

Does she have a heater and a filter in that tank? Did you cycle it before you put her in?
