Yes i bet you could put 8-10 chicks in there i don't think more then 10 would be comfortable for the birds though

Lets see, I incubate them until they're hatched, then move them to the brooder for a while????

Can I move them in with the 1 week old chicks after how long??

Hmmm i would wait till the chicks are all dry and fluffy. If you could put a seperater in the brooder to seperate the one week olds from newborns i would cause newborns are just sooo fragile and i wouldnt want to take a chance. You might be able to introduce them one at a time when the newborns are around a week of age

I have 5 week olds mixed with 1 week olds and they are taken well to each other, but the babies are just simply that, my babies. I don't want to get them hurt.

I have heard that having an older chic can help teach the younger ones.

Yes they can teach the younger ones. but sometimes they will kill the younger ones if they are to young
