Here are my daughter's broiler chicks we got last Friday...
This is one of them the night we brought them home:

I had to wake them up for this pic. It seems it's the only way to get them sitting reasonably still.
I currently have them in a tub in the living room. They will soon be going in a larger brooder and then outside.
My neighbor gave me an old unused doghouse today. I'm gonna hinge the lid and put in perches and add a door to it. I will enclose it in chicken fencing. I'm also pondering adding a low pressure watering system, but not sure yet.
Anyway, these guys will probably be in the freezer in a couple months, but they sure are enjoyable to have around...
