better yolks

We personally, soak Alfalfa Cubes from our local feed store in water for about 10 minutes. Place them in feed pans and the flocks tear em up. Takes a few days of doing this but our customers ask us all the time how do we get the yokes so deep orange? They keep coming back.

I feed them paprika powder
And get this:

The orange are mine, the yellow are the most fresh organic egg I found in the store.

I grow and feed perpetual spinach and that does the job. They love it too. During the summer I hang a handful of leaves each day which are stripped bare and in the winter when the plants are dying back I dig up and hang a whole plant by the roots and if you cut the roots in half, they will usually peck out the softer core too.

Yes, any and all fresh dark green vegetables, grass or other will help. Paprika and marigold extract to get beyond yellow. It can take a week to see a difference.

I soak alfalfa cubes for 24 hours (empty bucket and refill) and as long as I mix in the chicken feed, it gets eaten. Plain, it'll sit for a day or so. This is the kitchen scrap bucket too.
