i have lots of mixed hens and some pure bred. i raise rhode island red, welsummer and supposed americanas but probably easter eggers. i have some frizzles, white sex link crosses & black sex link crosses. a pair of embden geese and 2 african grey ganders are my critter chasers!! i raise eggs for my family and share with family and friends when they need eggs. i don't let my hens set if i can help it since it cuts down on production. i am going to buy some cornish x to raise for meat. we try to keep the hormones from our diet as much as possible so trying to raise our own. i have special hens that follow me whenever i am in the pen and i give them vegetable treats! right now i have 19 layers with 1 welsummer rooster and 10 pullets that are just starting to lay. i also have 1 welsummer rooster with 10 rhode island reds and 8 welsummer pullets that should start laying this spring.
this is my favorite frizzle pullet!
