Between Life and Death RP

"It's nice to meet you Fern." Seiri reached out to shake her hand.~

~Fern took his hand and shook it firmly. "Pleasure to meet you as well, Seiri," she agreed in bright contrast to her cold sister. "Thank you ever so much for helping Bryn get back here."~
~Bryn rolled her eyes. Now she's probably going to insist on paying him a reward for my safe return.~

"It was my pleasure. She was wonderful company." Seiri smiled.~

~Fern nodded gratefully and shot a meaningful glare at Bryn. "Hopefully you won't have to return her home again."~
~Bryn scuffed her shoe in the dirt, obviously uncomfortable at her sister's insinuation that she ran off frequently.~
(Sorry- got caught up taking about hair! :lau)

Pryrus chuckled. "Nah, I am not a thousand years old. Well, I really didn't want to be a Reaper, but my dad is stubborn. I told him no, and he thought it would be good for me, toughen me up. Do I hate my dad for turning me into a Reaper, no. That doesn't mean I am happy with him though. I don't talk to him much anymore, cause, in away he ruined my life. Now, I can't touch and plant, animal, or human without killing it. I don't get to live a normal human life, like I thought I would. I had someone I loved, now they don't love me back. I want to get married and have kids. I can as a Reaper, but my kid won't be human. It will start off like me, a Reaper." Pryrus finished the end of his reply kinda sadly. Pryrus did want kids, but now Claire seem to have forgiven him although she still isn't acting like she did all the way. Pryrus was sure in his heart Claire was the one he would marry and have a good life with, but you never know what can happen...~
Seldanna nodded understandingly with a sorry expression.
"I certainly wouldn't forgive my father. It is important for a man to be strong, but strength shouldn't be forced upon him. Especially when it could ruin a potential partnership with hundreds that you could have loved, and damage your potentials to show compassion and really just be a kind individual. I've always tried to be strong, but you should know that strength is not the most important thing in the world. In certain circumstances strength can be meaningless and worthless, and that will happen eventually." She said somberly, with a slight frown. She just saw more potential in Pryrus than just strength, and didn't want to see someone who hadn't been completely ruined yet turn to power so soon.
"I kind of had a love/hate relationship with my father also. He was the one who burned my wings off...I didn't protest to it that much, though it probably wouldn't have mattered. I didn't really know I was a Guardian then, so I felt abnormal and didn't want to be looked at like a freak. Obviously, my Father didn't want that either. He's dead now, so I haven't talked to him in years."

"It's fine. I enjoyed some human company. I usually don't get much of it." Seiri stated.~

"I'm sorry about your father. I bet your wings were beautiful, even if you didn't want them. I do agree that power shouldn't be forced. He never asked if I even wanted it." Pryrus stated as staring out towards the ocean.~

Jace's lips were still curled down in an unhappy grimace. "It's not fine," he told her, holding her gaze for as long as he was able.
After a pause, he asked her, "What was he like?" Jace wasn't sure if this would make things worse or patch things up, but he wanted to try. "Your grandfather."

Mute pulled her hood further over her head, attempting to block her face even more, so that he wouldn't be able to see the saddness that were hidden in her eyes. She sat quietly, she wanted to stay mute but convinced herself otherwise. The only thing she could say was, "He was my best friend.... and the town's blacksmith." She looked down at the sword " This was the last weapon he ever made....." Mute's voice was faint, like a distant echo in the large waterfall cavern.
