Between Life and Death RP

Eris nodded, just tired from this Death. She wished she was a free Guardian again. With no limitations.

Ransom leaned back, his feet still in the water. He closed his green eyes against the world. The warm sunlight got the better of him, and soon his breathing deepened, and he was asleep.

(Sorry, I've been busy for the longest time! I'll reply to Jace in a few minutes...)

(That's okay

I don't mind)

Jace strained, with all of his being, for two things: To get to the hospital, and to keep Araidna safe. When at last he saw the huge hospital building, he dove for it, too tired to perform an actual landing. He crashed into the parking lot, the gravel scraping at his back and wings. But Araidna was unhurt, nestled as she was in his arms.
He burst into the hospital, startling the clerk. "Please help her!" he cried, motioning to Araidna in his arms. He knew what the clerk was thinking: This boy, with his soaking shirt, desperate eyes, and wings was dangerous. Well, she was right. He was dangerous.
His fangs came out, and he struggled to tuck the bloodlust away, deep inside of him. "Take her and I'll go," Jace cried out, desperate. And it was just as well, because within a minute, a gurney and it's crew carried Araidna away.
"Another girl will come in," he told he clerk. "Her name will be Mute. And she'll - she'll talk to you," Jace said with some surprise, as he knew that Mute would, once again, break her oath. "She'll tell you that her friend should have just come. You tell her," he said, breathing heavily, "You tell her that Araidna's safe, and tell her where to find her." The clerk's face was white as she wrote this all down. Heart hammering, Jace burst through the door, away from the smell, that torturous smell. He curled up in a heap in the parking lot, his strength spent.

But hey. He hadn't killed anyone.

Mute carefully climbed down the cliff side and fell when she was just a few feet off the ground. She scurried into the hospital, she was sopping wet, and her elbows and knees were all bruised but she didn't care. Mute saw a clerk leave on a lunch break (the clerk that wrote down everything Jace said) and saw another clerk take her place, Mute ran up to the clerk at the front desk, hesitated, but then spoke very softly "I'm looking for my friend, Araidna. I would hope she got here safety.", She leaned closer to him as she spoke so that he could hear her better.
"Name." The clerk said, holding up a clipboard.
"Mute." She instisted
"We can't allow anyone visit a patient without proper indentification."
"Well then just tell me if she okay and I'll leave." She looked him dead in the eye.
"She fine. Some fallen came and brought her in."
The clerk spoke in a monotone throughout he whole conversation with her, and Mute didn't trust him at the least. She reluctantly turned, heading for the front door of the hospital.

Eris looked at him with a soft smile, glad to see he could find some peace. She laid down on the grass floor on her side, and looked off into the forest.

Ransom began to dream. He dreamed of freedom. Freedom from his gnawing, aching hunger; freedom from Death's jaws.

Through his blurry, exhausted state, Jace saw Mute walk out of the hospital. What? When had she gotten here? And why was she leaving?
Jace forced himself onto shaky feet, and walked towards her. "Where are you going?" he asked her, grabbing her arm.

"Apparently I can't visit Araidna unless they know my full name." She looked down at the ground in disappointment. People only know me as Mute and I want to keep it that way...

(Wouldn't calling yourself Mute because you choose not to talk be offensive to ACTUAL mute people? Just a thought. That's like me insisting people call me Alzheimer's because I choose not to remember things.
