I LOVED the David series!i start my day with 2 to 3 chapters of the bible. i am in 1Chronicles 23. the story of king david is fascinating. there is a new series on prime about david. very good so far. i read the bible through and then start again from genesis to revelation.
Oh my goodness! I thought this was deleted because it never came up for me nor could I find it. I'm so happy its alive and doing well.Have any of y’all subscribed to K-love’s verse of the Day? It sends a verse to your email every morning.
That is so beautiful. What an inspiring verse for all that you are going through right now! This Scripture text is very special to me right now:
Isa. 40:29
He giveth power to the faint; and to them that have no might he increaseth strength.
I had something happen to my knee at the end of February and I'm still recovering from it, still in pain, still very weak. I was in a wheelchair March, April, May, then on a walker in June and now using a cane but so weak and easily fatigued. Getting stronger but it takes time! So this text has special meaning for me right now. He is my Strength. I lean on Him all the time. He gives me patience! He is so good!
I have several translations in my Tecarta Bible app, so if I hit a spot that's puzzling, I'll read it in some of the other translations for clarity. It often helps. My preference is the KJV, however. That is so beautiful. What an inspiring verse for all that you are going through right now!
I have been reading through Isaiah (very slowly because it is so hard for me to comprehend parts of it) and some sections of that book are just so touching and beautiful, it brings me to tears!![]()
I love that - using some of the other translations to help clarify. I have been using the KJV. Some of the footnotes are very helpful, and praying to know the meaning has also been helpful. But the book of Isaiah is so completely full of mysteries and meanings. The writings are just incredible. Written as much for our day as his day. Looking back on this work (as well as many of the other books in the Bible) it truly is astounding and very clear that they were true prophets of God! I feel like I could study Isaiah every day for the rest of my life and still learn something new every time!!!I have several translations in my Tecarta Bible app, so if I hit a spot that's puzzling, I'll read it in some of the other translations for clarity. Isaiah is indeed very rich. There is so much that is Messianic and prophetic, and when you read it, knowing what we do about everything Jesus endured, and realizing that when Isaiah wrote what he did, it was all hundreds of years in the future for him ... well, it's just mind-blowing.
Scripture tells us there are two ways we can know that God is the only true God and not like the idols of the pagans: 1. He creates. When He speaks, His word has creative power, and He made heaven and earth, the seas and everything in them. And 2. Only He knows the future.
And for these two reasons, He is worthy of worship, and no false god is. He alone is God!![]()
