Biefelder cockerel isn't barred?

Thanks for your help, I've never had this breed. I heard from the breeder this morning, and it's 'possible' he has some red orpington .... but he has yellow legs and the blue feathering?? Any idea of a possible cross between bielefelder and orpington? Maybe a bielefelder roo x red orp hen? Still don't get the blue

That cross also shouldn’t produce chicks with yellow legs, but if the orps are project birds than a red orp cross does make sense. However, I doubt he’s a bielefelder cross because any first generation cross of a purebred barred chicken will always produce barred male chicks.

Well I doubt he grows into old age .... likely he'll not make the fall 'cut' and end up in the freezer. Thanks for sharing your knowledge
