Bielefelder over RIR - sex links?

I have a question abou sexlink chicks. I've been reading for a good hour now about sex-linked breeds and nowhere can I find something about breeding barred over non barred.

My biels, are (what I would consider) barred. My RIR's are not. So would I get sexlinks?

Or would that not work because both have "gold" genes. (So I'm not exactly sure about that... but I'm trying to sound like I might have learned something over my hour of research. )

Here are some pictures of my biels for those of you who are not familiar with the breed.

Rhode Island Red rooster, Bielefelder hens:
sex links. Males will be barred, females not barred. (All will be gold/red.)

Bielefelder rooster, silver hens:

Yes, Bielefelders are barred and gold.

You can make sexlinks with barring or with gold/silver.
Or you can use both, if you put Delaware hens with a Rhode Island Red rooster!
(That will give males silver barred, females gold not-barred.)

Thanks for the super helpful reply! Too bad I lost my RIR rooster last winter... hmmm...

Well going to be mixing them anyway, we shall see what they come up with!!

Another thing I learned. Chicken genetics are generally confusing. So thanks for laying that out simply.

Due to the heterozygosity of Wheaten/wildtype and Barring, You Will not be able to sex the chicks at hatch as both will lack a headspot. This issue was encountered by the Rhodebar breeders when they were outcrossing to RIR

The good news is That even if You can't sex the the F1 Will look very pretty

so, what do day olds that have RIR Rooster X Bielefelder hens, look like? I can do this cross, but would like to know what to expect the day olds to look like.

Males would have a head spot, that's all I know.

I know is an old thread but I have one chick that hatched today under a Bielefelder hen but is from a Bielefelder rooster over RIR. The Bielefelder hen got broody and sit on RIR eggs.

Bielefelder rooster, Rhode Island Red hens: If you then bred a solid cockerel to their F1 pullet you would get a sex link... right?
