Incubating chicken eggs.
It is day 22. Most of the chicks hatched yesterday. But I haven’t seen any action from this guy, yet.
Notice the weird dark patch in the air cell. Also the dark, detached looking spots inside.
Has this embryo died?

Thank you. That’s what I thought.

Since I am now addicted to hatching, I will be doing lots of this in the future. What was the give away?
After 22 days it will be a fully formed chick.
I am addicted to it also, my wife made me quit until after the holidays, I’m getting about 40 quail eggs/day and it’s killing me not to fill my incubators up.

I love quail! I want some Sooooo bad. But my parents said that I can only add one species per year….

40 eggs a day??!! That must be so hard!! Do they taste good?
