So EGG-CITING!We’re officially a week, thereabouts, from hatch!I’m so darn excited! Sad we will be leaving the day before, but kiddo has a fully written out page on instructions on how to initiate lockdown on one batch (he will help me start lockdown with these sweeties) and how to be prepared for hatching on the others.

Thank you, yes! Would it be okay if he uses my account? I was planning on leaving it up. I’ve told him about how great it is when doing something like this (taking care of chickens, gardening, etc) to find a resource like BYC before.
Hahaha we MIGHT! Be back before any hatch but I told him if they do, I expect pics. They’ll only be coming up twice a day because my folks live about 20 minutes away (he’s staying with them for it!) but we’re going to stock a ton of good snacks in case they’re staying up here for periods of time. With our first eggs, the MOMENT we got our first pip, he was in every five minutes. “Any progress?” Five more. “How about now?” It was like an “are we there yet”.

Hoping for a smooth hatch. 
It's going to kill me to not be here to stare at the eggs the entire lockdown. 
but of the 12 that are out, they are starting to perk up and I think that at least 10 of them are going to be okay. Which is a miracle because I had to assist basically all of them.
