This morning while attending to my chickens I heard a loud racket coming out of the coop. I opened the door to the coop and everyone came out. I peeked in the window and seen an egg and thought that must have been the racket. I went on to water and feed everyone. After I was done, I took out the egg. It was huge. My silver laced wyandottes lay a small to medium egg right now, between 1.5 oz to 1.6 oz.They just started laying a few weeks ago. This egg is 2.85 oz. The big egg is on the left, the one in the middle is the normal size egg I got today from another wyandotte, and the one on the right is my easter egger's big 2.95 oz. egg. I guess I have happy hens.
