Big Lizard Vs. Baby chick

I keep thinking what happened to that precious little chick afterward the video was taken??? I almost started crying when it got hold of that baby, that lizard could have killed the chickie very easily I think if it had really wanted to! I agree probably someone's pet and not hungry. Either way I didn't care for this video.

What a wimpy monitor lizard!

I'm sure it was a pet being fed. I always prekilled before I fed my snakes. Too cruel to BOTH of them otherwise....the food item and the lizard/snake. Often, live food would go down fighting biting and sometimes badly injuring the snake/lizard.

Feeling the need to film a chick being fed to a monitor (ugly, vicious kill) is just sick but BAD PR for herp keepers, IMHO.

ok first off thats someones pet savannah monitor,they are from africa. I just sold mine this week,they are nasty little things.This chick is lucky,one time my monitor bit a mouse in half.He used to fight with rats and swallow them whole.
