Oh no!! I’m so sorry to hear about King and Kong.
I hope you were able to collect some eggs to keep up their legacies.

I got some that just hatched from Kong I'm keeping. Kiko is his son and he reminds me alot of Kong so very happy with him.

Some new additions arrived today. 3 Lavender Marans and 4 more Ayam Cemanis. These are being integrated into Ozzys (Black Silver) coop, and then the Cemanis will move over to the Fibro pen.
I have a BCM, a few Silvers and a few Fibrocaunas I kept from my last hatch I'll be moving in with them also.

You're doing a project on fibro Easter Eggers now?

I've got an Easter Egger and 3 Americauna x EE (1Black, 1Blue and a diluted Ermine pattern) that lay light blue/ mint eggs in the Fibro pen currently. These I"ve been hatching Blacks and Blues from so far.

I'm looking to add a few Leghorns for Zombies and a few more Black Ameraucana's here soon.

Mine aren't the quality of yours, my friend.....but, I'm happy to have a few of these all the same.

Ozzy will approve also, eventually. He is turning out to be a quite the gentleman, the wife has ordered me to give him a proper flock of Silvers and Lavenders of his own. Hes running with a trio of BCMs at the moment, but will be also adding our Blue OE (Poppy x Christy) to his pen also for more Black/Blues.

Just waiting for Smoke to get closer to POL. I need to get proper pics of her, she's super pretty. Still waiting to see what color her hackles will be coming from Poppys Silver x Christy's Gold. They are looking dirty dish water at the moment.
Then of course seeing her egg color will be exciting.

And we officially have our first broody for 2026.... coincidently in the Ozzmans coop. Apparently his coop is going to need expanding....she'll be getting BBS Silver eggs.

Looks like we have broodys at the same time again this year. I gave my Jersey Gena 10 eggs on Tuesday afternoon. 6 pure Bresse and 4 Bresse x Olive Egger. If I understand the genetics they should feather out ermine pattern with a 50% chance of laying green.
