BTW, your backups are only as good as the last time you verified that they work. I've seen too often someone using a backup system and never check to make sure they are able to restore the backup. 10 years of backups do you no good if they are corrupt or you can't restore them.

lol, my mom just called me to warn me of this worm! Lots of hype, yes? She said she was advised to unplug the internet from the computer. I was just going to leave it off. Will the worm still kill my computer if it's off?

It's likely that it would attack you if it's on your computer once your internal clock reads Arpil 1st or later.
It may have all the files on your computer already and just needs the go-ahead to start up.

Conficker wont attack Macs, I dont know if it has already been said, but it is only targeting Windows. Macs can still be hit by other viruses though.

I REALLY don't miss my PC days. MAC are
