Big problem!

This happened to my Rhode Island Hen! I have no clue what it is and I’ve never seen this before! How do I treat it? I really don’t want to lose her! I know the images are really really gross! I’m so sorry but I’m desperate!

Welcome to BYC. That looks like an egg membrane hanging out. Catch her and very carefully pull it out. Once it out, can you get a picture of her vent?

Your sure it’s safe to pull it out? It won’t kill her?

Yes a warm bath then work it off she will be fine we hope right

Yes, just pull gently.
