BIG RED BUBBLE

Hi i am new to this page and i have a question. I have a new chick with a large red bubble / blister on the under side of the chick close to the vent about the size of a small grape. What is this and what should i do ?

Could it be the navel stump?

Could it be deformed and that is it's intestines ?

Have a look at the pictures on this site then and see if there is one that resembles your chick's condition- there will be pictures of navels/bellybuttons and chicks hatched "inside out" (intestines etc. outside of the body) and we'll see if we can get this sorted out!

My search skill aren't that great but I PM'd you some links so that we can figure out what the lump might be similar to. Beyond that, is the little one pooping?
