Big red rooster

Can anyone help me out with the breed of this big guy? He's about 6 months old and we got him as an egg from a nice breeder. We're pretty sure he's a pure breed but not sure what!

I don't know if a pure breed that looks like that.

With his pink skin, feathered feet, body shape, and blue diluted tail feathers, I'd say he had some blue Marans in him.

I'm not sure where is overall red color comes from.

Likely a Marans or cross there of. And likely out of a project color breeding group.

I agree with the Marans, and yes, he was likely a color project possibly aiming for a Red Copper Marans.
