Big rooster, Tiny hen

My big rooster is trying to mate with my super tiny bantam hen. He tries to mount her but just ends up squishing her. She screams as loud as she can until he gives up. Will they ever be able to mate?

Perhaps, but there is also the possibility that he could seriously injure her if there is a great disparity in their sizes.

I would either separate them, or get rid of one or the other. There is great possibility for injury or even death from a large roo trying to mate a small hen. Especially if your little hen is unwilling. Good luck.

How much size difference is there? My big roosters don't usually seem interested in my bantam hens.
