Yeah my new hamp x columbians lay MONSTER eggs. and I mean evil mean monster eggs. I would swear they were from ducks if they were not brown and I was not collecting them.

I had 4 Buff Orpington hens laying HUGE EGGS last year. (Some the size of duck eggs!)

3 of them died from being egg-bound.

The survivor lays x-tra LARGE eggs (when she's not broody), but not duck-sized eggs, like the others did.
