The Crazy Chicken Lady
The black duck that lays the black egg!
Free shipping!
Cayugas are gorgeous to see in person with the black shimmering to green on the heads and neck to the blues and purples on their wings and body. On cloudy days they are very pretty, on sunny days they are absolutely stunning!
These beautiful water fowl are good free rangers and not big eaters like Pekins or other breeds. They are always eye catching and remarkable birds when visitors come to the farm.
I breed for the darkest of eggs but they get lighter as the season goes along. This flock is mostly formed from very good show stock but there is a crested hen from a hatchery so a crested baby is possible. Last year they produced one that had a large double crest.
I have set and hatched quite a few this spring and am now offering up a dz plus eggs.
I bubble wrap each egg, pack inside bubble wrap lined Priority box and write Fragile on the outside of the box to alert the post office to its precious and fragile contents.
Once the eggs leave my possession I am not responsible for their handling. I do not guarantee hatch rates. As with all shipped eggs, hatch rates are variable and not within my control.
Because of factors related to shipping, a fertile and viable egg can be packed into a box, shipped to you and arrive in a nonviable state. When candling the eggs, nonviable eggs appear clear, just as infertile eggs do.
Shipping only in the US. Payment via PayPal. PM me for details, please.
