So random thought today. How do you manage bio security with utility company employees tromping around to get their readings?

Our electric company is switching over meter types and of course we have 1 on the shop and 1 out back behind the house. With our new meter they have to plug into it to get a reading. Of course I live out in the country and everyone here has livestock so I was curious what others do for bio security.I'd never been to worried about them.
One thing is it may not be likely they have chickens. Another is our water meter is out by the road and the electric isn't very far into the yard.
Now days though they read meters without coming to the property or if so from their truck. They don't have to step foot on my property anymore.
I live out in the boonies and I'm not sure how they do it but they read it without coming onto the property. I have a pretend vicious dog and no one can even pull in the drive without her losing her mind. I know no one comes through the gate. Our electric company is switching over meter types and of course we have 1 on the shop and 1 out back behind the house. Do you let fellow chicken-keepers visit, and if so, do you take any extra precautions? (disposable booties, etc.)Really, that worry is rather low on rather a long list of things I don't worry about. I let all kinds of people come to my house, and some like to visit my chickens. Could they get sick, well yes, but not real likely.
