Birchen based back breeds?

Anconas, Leghorns, and Wyandottes all come in black (Anconas have mottling in addition) with yellow legs. In order to prevent epidermal melanin, do breeders use self black birds that are birchen based?
Does lighter undercolor help to produce clear yellow legs?

Wyandotte is e^b/e^b, Co/Co, Pg/Pg, Ml/Ml, S/S, or s+/s+. Females same except they have 1 copy of silver, or gold: s+/-, S/-


Leghorns, & Ancona are E/E, Mo/Mo if mottled.

Leghorns white: E/E, I/I.

Well, I’m assuming black Wyandottes are E based because of the down color. Ancona down doesn’t help because of the mottling and I’ve never seen a black Leghorn chick.

Non-Mottling/non-Barring/Non-Dominant White Self Black birds that have Yellow shanks are based on Birchen instead of extended black, Extended black is a powerful Melanin(dermal, epidermal and eumelanin) booster it gives a thick epidermal melanin deposit on E/E birds) even in the presence of sex linked Dermal Inhibitor(Id) even in Heterozygous form(E/eWh) even if it's partial restricted(Co/co+).

The Perfect example of such a cross(E/eWh, Id/-, Co/co+) are Black Star(Black Sex links)

So to answer my question, yes, Leghorns and Anconas are probably birchen based blacks.
What about Wyandottes and Cochins? They appear to have Extended Black down but still have the yellow legs. How is this managed?
