Non-Mottling/non-Barring/Non-Dominant White Self Black birds that have Yellow shanks are based on Birchen instead of extended black, Extended black is a powerful Melanin(dermal, epidermal and eumelanin) booster it gives a thick epidermal melanin deposit on E/E birds) even in the presence of sex linked Dermal Inhibitor(Id) even in Heterozygous form(E/eWh) even if it's partial restricted(Co/co+).
The Perfect example of such a cross(E/eWh, Id/-, Co/co+) are Black Star(Black Sex links)
