Bird flu H5N1 in Australia

Hi there,
I live in New Zealand and everyone is starting to talk about the inevitably of us getting the H5N1 bird flu virus from Australia (we are close to Aussie and Australia is like our giant Canary so to speak).
But all our local chicken Facebook pages are full of unhelpful conspiracies (thanks covid), and I just would like to know from the clever BYC folk, if there's anything I can do to prepare, to help my cute little bantams that I love so much, avoid getting it?

The only way to avoid getting it is to keep your flock in a coop/run with a solid roof to prevent all contact with wild birds and practice strict biosecurity.
