Bird Flu?

Anyone concerned about their domestic fowl? Bio's have already confirmed several wild ducks up north in my neck of the woods testing positive for it.
It's always a concern but so far haven't heard of it being in NC. What are they saying about it and peoples domestic flock?

They are saying to keep your flock away from wild ducks and where they have been. And if you handle wild ducks use gloves, wash everything and cook meat well. Not sure why they say that though since it is not apparently a threat to humans.

There are a couple of threads on this site about Avian Flu. Type Avian Flu in this site's search bar to find them.

One flock of 500 chickens has tested positive and been disposed of. The farm is going to be under quarantine for 8 months. Avian flu is nothing to mess with

No but you can carry it home to your flock. Bio security is something we do when we go to poultry shows or anywhere where there are poultry or if someone comes to our home who has poultry.
