Bird N the Fluffy Butts learn how to properly eat when dining out

Discussion in 'Pictures & Stories of My Chickens' started by fishnet1971, Jan 3, 2011.

  1. Recently, I had my roo Blu inside because he was sick. Unfortunately, he did not make it. In the meantime, he was lavished with meals of scrambled eggs, yogurt and many other yummies. He manners were just exquisite, um well sometimes! I would like to document how a REAL roo should eat when accompanied by a lady.... um... sometimes.

    Enjoy!

When starting out on a meal, do make sure to clean your face and feathers. Do not sit down to a dirty face. Blu did this after seeing his reflection. Thank GOODNESS he saw this and cleaned up.

When the meal is served, start with the soup. In this case Blu was served a chilled peach yogurt soup.

It is BAD manners to tip your bowl to get more by slurping!
    But he soon learned...

That is is not attractive to have soup on your face.
Its not easy to slurp soup upside down either!

The main course of scrambled eggs and peach yogurt side came next. First things first....

DO NOT TALK WITH YOUR MOUTH FULL FELLAS!!!!!!!!!!!!!

But he was great when it came to eating slowly. Blu was such a picky eater.

Most importantly, Blu was so graciou and thanked me for the meal.

Only before giving me the stink eye because he was not getting coffee and desert.

  6. he was such a ham!!!!! he was a good boy, and did not go down without a fight. At least he was not in pain. He has a special spot near the pen where he can always torment Bird and the other Fluffy Butts! [IMG]

  9. I give them all kisses every night from everyone! ok, seriously now, how many of us nuzzel the necks of one of our babes and love the smell of their feathers??????? [IMG]

Last night i brought them a platter of old salad mix and when I stepped inside their fluffy butt hut, my Frack jumped off her roost and landed on my head, jumped onto the platter and scattered lettuce all over the darn place. i had 9 others immediatly jumping down and attacking my feet that were covered with lettuce!!!!! it was so darn funny I had to just giggle. poor Frack, she was left with an empty platter and the look on her face that was just priceless. like " aaaaaaawwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww what now momma??????"
