Bird netting for top of run

I use bird netting, it has lasted years. I have stretched it over a wide area, no problems. I like it a lot.

This is the product many folks on here use: https://pinnonhatch.com/Poultry-Supplies/Poultry-Protection-Netting-2inch-Heavy-Knotted.html - they have different weights and opening sizes, but I think this is the most commonly recommended.
Multiple neighbors here use the stuff. Watch for overloading with snow and freezing rain.

For stop gap measure I have been using deer netting as tougher against raptors. I detours opossums, not effective at all with raccoons.

The bird / netting can make so you may need to extract a raptor caught in it once in a while, plus snakes.

Yup. Light snow or dry snow will usually fall through (it's why I got the 2" openings) but otherwise a regular smacking with a broom will help keep heavier or wetter snow from building up too much on it.

Thank you so much. Just ordered the one you suggested!
