bird seed for chicks?

I have 2 week old chicks and 1 month old chicks and they are really loving the wheat seed that they are finding in their straw. I also have been throwing a little bird seed for scratch. They all seem to be growing well on their chick starter. I just wanted to make sure that the wheat seed and bird seed was okay to give. My husband says it is fine to feed them seed and i just wasnt sure.

Make sure you are giving them grit.

My chicks love a little bird seed too..I don't know if its bad or not, but they love it now and then!
