Hi guys :)!
I went to Tractor Supply and got small bags of MannaPro Harvest Delight and Garden Delight, they don't have big bags and I can't seem to find big bags online. I sprinkle a little in the run so the chickens have something to go for as a treat. The bags are really small and Tractor Supply is kind of far. Another customer in the store saw me looking at the Harvest Delight and she said it was the same thing as bird seed and it was easier/cheaper to just buy a huge bag of birdseed. Birdseed??? I had never heard of that, but sounds interesting...what do you think?

I buy bags of black oil sunflower seeds at the local grocery store, which are sold for birds, as theyr regular treat. Bags of bird seed would also be fine, the kind intended to put in bird feeders.

I was just going to ask this very question

How much of the birdseed can I give daily as a treat. I have 4 chickens. 9 and 14 weeks old. They eat medicated chicken feed and usually about 2-3 hrs free range time a day. I want to give the birdseed as a treat and something to keep them busy while they are in the run during the day. All the grass that was there is gone now.
