What would make you think it's a parrot? What traits do parrots have that differentiate them from other birds? Does the bird in the pic have those traits? Is it a parrot? I'm not saying. Keep researching and learning, and let me know if you've figured it out.

How far did you get? I'll give you two hints: 1) the bird belongs to the Piciformes order, and 2) it's native to west Africa. If you do some googling, you can find your way -- and learn about more things as you work toward identifying the bird I posted. Good luck!
