My house rooster loves to "nest" too, especially if he finds a small enclosed spot like behind an open door, or between cardboard boxes, or underneath a low open drawer of a chest of drawers. He goes crazy making lots of fast happy clucking and turns in circles for about 15 minutes while getting lower and lower towards a sitting position, then finally sits and gently pecks at the floor around him making quiet clucks.
