Birds fighting or playing??

My 8 week old chicks are being crazy. They've been puffing their neck feathers and going at it like they're fighting. Reminds me of my old roosters when they used to try and fight. But it's any time one or a couple move quickly then they start going at each other. I have 1 buff orp (tractor supply said is a cockerel) but not really sure and 3 RIR pullets. It seems like it's mostly the buff who is starting it. Are they just being normal? Is it a way that they play? Or should I separate them?

They're just sorting out their pecking order. At 8 weeks of age there's a good chance you can tell their sex. If you can post pics we can help you out if you want.

I'll get some pics here in just a few. And okay. The buff tries to go for the little tiny comb that the rir are starting to get and it worries me. It sometimes even tries to get my ducks but the ducks are way bigger and just push it away.

Okay thanks! I was hoping to have at least 1 roo. I've never had a Bo roo so does anyone know their temperament?
