Mine is secure too. Do I need to add the cloth to the outer part of the chicken wire? I still want my girls to see though

If birds are getting in so can other pests and predators. As you've stated your wire is chicken wire that is not secure....chicke. wire keeps chickens in but is essentially useless for keeping anything out due to openings large enough to be gone or reached through and strength that is easily chewed, pulled, pushed or otherwise taken apart/bent/etc to allow entry. Don't get me wrong I've used chicken wire in runs I've had, but I did so with an awareness of the lack of security provided by it
