Birdseed as treat?

Can I give them a combo of white millet, small pieces of peanut, small pieces of cracked corn, safflower seeds and bits of sunflower seeds? They are one week old today.

I wouldn't at that age, it doesnt provide the balance of food they need and just takes up room in their stomaches that could be used more productively, I would wait til they are at least 6 weeks.

Reinbeau, I use that mix for my chickens in the winter. If that's any help...

Yeah they are way too young. Their digestive systems can't handle it yet.

After 4 weeks you can give them some. My chickens love my conure's left over
seed.


Mash up some oatmeal as a treat so you can start hand feeding them. Even
oatmeal should be given in moderation at a young age.
