Merri: That's cause we are only 4 weeks old silly goose!
Lizzy: *Sarcastically* I though we were chickens!
Merri: *gives Lizzy a stink eye*

(I recently had to move, so I had to leave some birds behind. I'm now changing my chickens on here to Omlette, that sassy EE/Marans cross hen that everyone loves, Skittles, my mutt rooster, Millie, my Self Blue d'Uccle hen, Annabelle Lee, my EE, Ethel, my Mille Fluer d'Uccle hen, Wilhelmine, my Black Turken, Frankie, my Salmon Faverolle hen, Teacup, my Buff Black Tailed Japanese bantam, Mary, my White Crested Blue Polish hen, and Clover, Buttercup/Rock cross hen.)
Aw, sorry that you had to leave behind some chickens. :(

Buttermilk: Cause that's when it gets dark, Bissy.
Snap: We know, Butter.
Buttermilk: Just sayin'!
Me: Buttermilk has been acting strangely lately. She clucks to herself, growls every now and then, and lost a couple feathers on her breast area. But, she's not broody. She's eating normal, drinking normal, and her poops are average size. She doesn't sit on a nest either, and always comes out with the other girls. Any advice???

Sophia's Travel log:
Yesterday, We were all free-ranging outdoors in the early afternoon. It was cloudy, in fact very overcast. Suddenly, the wind kicked up and the sky darkened dramatically. Sal and I headed for the coop as the wind picked up even more speed. By the time we reached the coop, (which we were only 30 feet away from in the first place), The wind was strong enough to blow Elanor and Marianne over. The two got up and struggled to the pop door, pulling themselves through with the help of Willoughby and Margaret. Something between snow and small hailstones fell almost sideways, "Tornado!" Sal cried, and as I scrambled underneath the nest boxes, I wondered if it really was a tornado, for a split second. Then Elanor said in a shaky voice from the other end of the coop "No, there's no tornadoes here! It can't be a tornado!" I didn't answer, but stayed huddled under the nestboxes with Sal until the storm subsided an hour later.

Quote: Me: That sounds kinda like Pebble, she clucks and growls to herself, in her own little world, but she hasn't lost any chest feathers. She is my moody broody, and I think its just 'cause she never really, "recovered" from being broody. That is my uneducated guess.
