Snap: Yea, we know that they confuse 'em. Personally we all want an EE. I want one cause I want her to lay a green egg!!! :D
Buttermilk: Oh gess, Snap. :p I like the blue, so I don't care if she's an Ameraucana.
Bisquick: This is like a blessing from God!! :) I'm so glad that Nissley's is selling all the breeds-- in pullets!!!!

Selena's Top secret Broodiness jornal
10:30 AM got in nestbox.
10:31: hissed at Sunrise, pecked at Susie
10:32: Mommy came to give us scraps, which was unfairly sabatoging my broodiness because I had to go out and eat them, otherwise everyone else would get all the good stuff.
2:30 PM : laid an egg, sat on it.
2:31: hissed at Lacey
2:32: boredom got the better of me, and I abandoned my broodiness for the second time that day

Susan: She calls it "broodiness," but today she spent a total of five minutes on the nest.
Sunrise: It's pretty funny to see. One minute she's hissing at Lacey, and the next, leaping out of the box to get her fair share of tomatoes.

Bisquick: Haha, I'm the only one here to say I haven't gone broody.
Snap: Yeaaaa, I stop being broody pretty easily though.
Buttermilk: Not me girl!!!
Bisquick: I remember when both of you went broody at the same time. Junior and I were best friends, and we kept the egg production going!!
Snap: The times with Juni. :3
Buttermilk: She would love to see these chicks.
Bisquick: She sees them up in heaven!!
Snap: I hope she sees us too!!
Buttermilk: I'm so glad Mom put us on their Christmas card. That will be the only year Juni will be in the card.
Bisquick: Guys, stop thinking sad thoughts!!
Snap: Yes, we'll make everyone else sober.
Buttermilk: I've learned how to do it. I always have Juni on my mind, but I think of things ahead.
Bisquick: Like Mommy always says: With every downhill there's an uphill.
Snap: Wow, she's like Beethoven!!
Buttermilk: Snap, this is the second time!! Beethoven writes music!! Not quotes!
Snap: Oh. :p

Sunrise: I once gave broodiness a try, but I didn't really like it that much.
Susan: She was grumpy to me, her best friend/sister!

Midge: We are going to get a dark brahma and a buff orpington!
Henny: The blue orpingtons are pretty, but I like the buff!

Louise: The colored egg layers your feed store has are probably EE's. Most places get them mixed up and try to market them as rare breeds.
Audrey: Nothing wrong with not being rare! *fluffs feathers*
Penny: Mom is ordering our chicks the next time she goes to the store too! She went today to get a list of available breeds, and she is going next week to order.

Midge: We are going to have a LOT to teach those little chicks...
Louise: Like not to mess with ME!

Akira: I still see why we can't get a bantam.

I would like a friend!
Midge: I've told you a million times, Kiki. They get them too late in the season, they're mixed breeds AND we can't have a rooster!
Akira: Those are silly reasons! Humph!
Penny: We were debating between a partridge rock or a dark brahma, but we LOVE the fluffy feet!
Henny: So soft...
Audrey: And the feed store doesn't have great quality partridge rocks!
Henny: Mom got us corn today!

Snap: Which of you guys is the Japanese bantam?? I'm guessing Akira.
Buttermilk: Our feed store had Ameraucanas (probably EE's) BO'S, BR'S White Silkies st. run, and some other things I forget.
Bisquick: But it doesn't matter, since they have what we have in pullets!!!!
ya.gif
When are you guys getting chicks?

Akira: Yes, I'm the Jap! My name means clear bright, and wisdom in Japanese!
Louise: *snort* Wisdom?
Midge: We are getting chicks March 23rd! The day can not come soon enough!
D.gif

Henny: Our feed store has lots of breeds this year. Tetra tints and dark brahmas and partridge rocks...last year they only had really common breeds.
Audrey: They only get assorted bantams, though. A lot of OEGBs and sebrights and silkies and Japanese.
Penny: So you can only tell what you have if it's a silkie! All of the others look the same.

Snap: Cool Akira!!! That's pretty!
Bisquick: We'll probably be getting our chicks around there too!!
Buttermilk: That'd be so cool if we got 'em on the same day.
Snap: It seems like January is going on forever!!!
Bisquick: I know! February will be even worse.
Buttermilk: *GROAN* Days used to go by so fast. Months even, but without Juni and waiting for chicks they seem like 24 hours!!
Bisquick: Buttermilk, days are twenty four hours.

Buttermilk: Oh.
