Selena: what do you mean, a real school? I thought all coopschooling co-ops were regisered, state-approved schools, or supplements to regisered homeschool programs!
Elanor: Our school has the following levels/grades
1. Spring acadamy is for the youngest chicks--started in March because thats when chicks arrive at feed stores
2. early-laying level is for the second year--what we are going into
3.peak-egg level is for the third year--that's what Sophia is going into
4. older hen level one is the fourth year
5. older hen level two is the fifth school year--Sally's going into that
6. post egg level

Buttermilk: Like a real, private school. Not just a co-op...
Bisquick: But they'd still call it a co-op which is kinda weird.
Snap: We do some extra, little things at home which is coopschooling, but Pine Cone would be open to people even who don't coopschool.
Buttermilk: Yea, what Boodies said.
Bisquick: Hmmm.... What extra-credits should I take? Mommy said I have to take at two least one and this is what they are:
The Art of Egglaying
AP How to Make a Dustbath
AP Pecking Order 2
In Sickness and in Health
(a Health class)
Buttermilk: I say T.A.O.E AND I.S.I.H
Snap: I say AP H.T.MA.D AND AP Pecking Order
Buttermilk: Why is there are 2 after that?
Bisquick: Cause AP Pecking Order 1 is for the chicks, 2 is for hens.
Snap Buttermilk: Ohhhh.....
Bisquick: What does everyone think I should take?

Selena: the easiest
Elanor: the most challenging
Sophia: The next level of the ones you took last year.
Marianne: the ones you have never taken before.
Whilloghby: the most active.

Bisquick: I'm taking flying, football, and soccer as sports, Whilloghby. ;)
Buttermilk: I think I'm gonna take AP The Art of Egglaying.
Bisquick: I don't think they have that...
Buttermilk: Uh, they didn't give you that option since you didn't go to the normal T.A.O.E.
Snap: I think I'm gonna do H.T.M.A.D. AP STYLE!!!
Bisquick: I'll take it with you!!! :D
Snap: YEA!! :D
Bisquick: Theeeeen... I think I might taaaaaakkkeee.... I.S.I.H.
Snap: Cool! I'll probably take AP Pecking Order too
Buttermilk: I think I'll do I.S.I.H. too....
Bisquick: Then we have to pick electives!
Snap: AH!! THIS IS LIKE THE HARDEST CHOICE OF MY LIFE!!

Selena: We don't register until late August...Hah!
Snap: Well, our classes have to be in by early August, but school starts September 9th.
Buttermilk: We were gonna start the 3rd, but Pine Cone just decided to give us Wednesday and Friday off and start on a full week of school.
Bisquick: I LOVE summer-- enough talk of school for one night.

Marianne: So you guys went to silver chunk last year, but are now attending riverside?
Selena: I remember you saying you'd switch....What happened?

Midge: The teachers were really bad. They didn't really teach us, which Henny was okay with, but-
Penny: Some of us care about our educations.
Henny: I can take a hint!
Midge: Anyway, Mom switched us to RIverside. It's awesome!
Gwynn: Basy and I never knew Silver Chunk.
Basil: And we only went to 2 classes at Riverside before school ended.
Audrey: I like Riverside. The teachers are so nice and we have wonderful classes. And next year we are going to do flight team.
Louise: Not me!
Akira: Well, what is going to be your extra-curricular activity then?
Penny: Did Akira just say a word longer than 3 syllables?!
Louise: I don't know, but it's JULY!
Basil: She has a point.
Gwynn: Mommy gave us corn today! :p

Terry: Aren't those Food People going to let us out this morning? It's past 7:00- I've been awake and waiting for them for more than an hour! Food people sleep too much.
Princess: I hear the door open and.., one's coming out! Hooray! *My sister opens up coop and run doors*
Princess and Terry: Freedom!!!
Lady: Hmm.... It does look lovely out there. I'll join you!
Princess: *gasp* Is she... un-broody? Is she normal?
Terry: We'll see, I suppose...

~A few days later at six o'clock in the morning

Lady: Honk-a-honk-ba-SQUAWK! SQUAWK-A-BAWWWK!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (etc.)
Me: The chickens are being attacked!!! *Run to the coop*
Lady: HONK-A-SQUAWK-A-SQUAWK!!! *Sees me* Oh, good morning Food Person.
Terry: It seems she's trying to take the place of Captain Flint and wake the Food People up every morning. Good for her. Now we shan't have to wait as long to be let out!
Me: Thanks a lot, Lady. *Sleepy groan*
Princess: Maybe Lady's not normal. All this broodiness must have got to her brain. Anyway, happy Fourth of July, everyone!

Bisquick: She's obsessed.
