Alpha: sorry but she has been here, she is sick so she doesnt do it on much, she just sees it. I will post a pic of her later
Sophia: Susan wrote a letter on here when she was sick. Would that be an idea?
Marianne: Let's see if I can find the post. I think Susan was the same kind of sick
Elanor: we are praying!!

*Marianne sits down in front of TV, Elanor beside her. Sophia comes up behind them with a bowl of popcorn. Marianne tunes the TV to pick up channel eleven, and the show "Pullets of Cluckingham" comes on.*

Tarea: Annalynn, I think Lucan  LIKES you.
Annalynn: He doesn't like me. He's dating Splanna.
Tarea: You didn't hear? Splanna left Lucan for that new Amarucana cock.

Elanor: Yuck! let's change that channel!!
Marianne: Channel ten, let's see what is on...
Sophia: It's that new reality show.

Narrerator: Challenge number one is to see how fast each chicken can eat a tomato. Let's interview the contestants and see how the feel about this challenge.
Estana: It is like....soooo easy. I like, think, like, that hen over there will be , like, voted off.
Crowena: I is going win!
Henna: Boooring. I just wanna be voted off.

Elanor: I think channel nine might be a better option...
Marianne: anything is better than that...
Sophia: Well, I liked it better than that stupid pullets of cluckingham.

And this is channel nine eggshell evening news. First, we have a report that there has been more "misprints" in the Cooplife magazine, which have been embarrassing to the victims of those misprints. More details later...

Marianne: channel eight.

This is Yolk news--your source for everything local. First, we have reports of overcrowding and pecking order problems in the school district #28. Sunset Ridge is where the worst of the overcrowding and bullying is, followed by Fir tree and then North Hill schools. More and more parents are pulling their children out of these schools, and putting them into Streamflow coopschooling group, Orpington Acadamy, or are transferring them to districts # 29 and 27. This has been compounded with a continuing, Multi-year lice and mites problem at Fir tree, and to some extent Sunset ridge. Many parents are unhappy with the learning enviroment and are...
Elanor: Nothing we don't already know.
Marianne: I'll be interested in seeing how district #28 shapes up--if ever.
Sophia: channel seven...let's see what's on...THEY FINALLY MADE A MOVIE OF "CHICKENS OF NOWHERE!!!"
Marianne: Yayyy!!!!
Sophia: and it's right on channel seven!!

Indigo: Wait...I don't understand. Why are you so nervous?
Maple: I-I'm running away. I'm not show quality, so they are going to butcher me.
Violet: Indigo, we should go with her.
Indigo: We'll come with you, if you help us get out of this quarantine coop thing.
Maple: Okay, fill these with food, and we'll be on our way. We have about two hours head start before they realize you guys are gone. Me, they won't miss for about a day. Let's put some distance between here and us by then.

All three: :pop

Penny: CHICKENS OF NOWHERE?!?!? That's my favorite book! Too bad I missed it on channel 7...:(
Midge: We can always check NetChix.

Sunrise: Susan's doing better. She's still sluggish, and she's molting (seems a little late to be molting, doesn't it?) but she's eating.
Selena: She says she doesn't feel well enough to get on BYC, but she told me to give you this message: Hi guys, Thank you for all the cards, I am feeling better now, but I'm still really tired. From, Susan.
Marianne: Here it is!
Sophia: All the hens that orignally posted on here--Sunrise, Susan, and Sal--are now dead.

Elanor:It'll be on channel fourteen this afternoon, I think...
Me: I'm actually writing the book--May post a chapter or two on here...

Penny: *turns on channel 14* Now to wait! :D
Midge: Penny, it won't be on for another 2 hours.
Penny: I'm dedicated. :caf
Midge: Whatever. Tell me when it's on. Louise and I had to read it for school.

Me: Earlybird, I'd love to see it!

Me: I have all of part one written but not typed. I haven't typed up chapter one yet, though.
Elanor: Yeah, we had to read it--our reading and foraging skills teachers collaborated on it...it has a lo of foraging facts.

Louise: My class read it for literature, but I think it was used for advanced foraging too.
Akira: Penny has a hard cover first edition copy of it. It's so pretty, I love the cover.
Penny: Violet's my favorite character. :)

Sophia: Yeah, Violet is so sweet, and then what happens at the end when their journey is over and they have a home, but they still are the chickens of nowhere, Violet explians why so poignantly.

Penny: Yes, that last scene makes me cry every time. All 8 of us just watched it, we were all crying by the end. :hit
Basil: The movie was perfect! Sometimes, movie adaptations aren't so good, but this one was phenomenal! The pullet who played Indigo looked exactly like I pictured her!
Gwynn: And I loved Maple's actress too! She was really able to convey her personality, which isn't an easy one.
