Alarm clock radio: This is Eggie Strawnest with your morning yolk news predator report. Your source for everything local. First this morning, we have a level blue predator alert around the Cherry Creek and Triplend areas--a bear has been getting into garbage cans approxamatly at 5 am each morning. It is recommended that free-ranging should be kept between the hours of 9 am to 5 pm in order to minimize risks. Inn the meantime, cougar warnings for Feather Road and Plumage creek has been reduced to level green, however, it is still recomended that free ranging be...
Colonel: Um, Sophia, why was the alarm set for six??
Sophia: Because we are going to town today, and we need to catch the six-thirty barred rock bus out of here. After we get to town and eat breakfast--the early bird's special at Pecky's, we are all going to go seperate routes...here's your schedule.
Colonel
1. Catch 8:20 Easter Egger Bus with Marianne. You get off at 3rd street stop.
2. go to 3rd street hardware and pick up
-3 preimium pop door hinges
-Pop door oil (1 quart)
3. Walk down the street to the library, return books. Then talk to front desk. Request "Henley books", they will have a big stack we reserved by phone--there should be six books. Check them out.
4. Catch 9:55 Rhode Island Red bus down to Warner ave. Go to School district #28 office and drop off paperwork transferring you from Fir tree Chicken school to Streamflow. They will have you sign something, and then you are officially transferred from your neighborhood school to a separate district.
5. On the next block is Winston Avenue, and there is a Bakery. Go in and buy a bag of wheat flour, a bag of sugar, a bag of cornmeal, and a cherry pie.
6. Down three blocks there is a Chik-n cell phone store. Go in and renew our internet connection--yearlong package--and all of our c-phones--also yearlong package. Our coop ID is henleybackcountry7438.
7. Catch the barred rock bus down to Marlern street. The next block over there is an Egg white Cafe'. We will be eating there.
8. School shopping for the rest of the afternoon. We will all be at Corntown mall, over on East Marlern. You do not need any school supplies, they are being shipped to the school. However, you do need a flight harness,Winter boots, a comb warmer, leg and toe warmers, wing wraps and a scarf. Be sensible and buy cheaper brands. Brooke's Duct tape Brand comb, leg, and toe warmers are priced well and are wonderful, go for those is you can find them, they are usually in Molly's. Buy your winter boots a size or two big so you can grow into them and your leg and toe warmers can fit in them. Molly's doesn't have any good ones, instead go into pulletz and cockeralz 4eva. They have store brand shoes that are cheap but quite sturdy. You scarf and comb warmers should be purchased at Lucky Cluck, avoid Bargian Box brand. You'll want a woolen set of scarf and wing warmers that match with your boots, comb warmer, and leg and toe warmers. The wing warmers should have extra material and lace up instead of button up, the scarf should have laces as well so you can wear it multiple ways, and it should be quite wide and long. Then go to Wing world for your flight harness. Buy a standard one, that is all the school accepts.
Please, make sure this all matches.
We will eat dinner at five at Nest Pizza.
We will leave on the barred rock bus at seven, and be home at seven thirty.

Elanor: That isn't much. I have a lot more to do.
Marianne: By your third or so trip into town you should have gotten the hang of it.
Colonel: You guys don't have a car?
Marianne: We just carpool with the peeps next door if we need it. So does the chicks across the street.
Colonel: It's probably time to change that.
Sophia: Maybe, but we'd only use the car once or twice a month. All we have to do is shop.
Colonel: But this bus buisness is a bit much.
Sophia: You'll get used to it. Plus, it saves time with all of us spread out.
Colenel: I'll need a suitcase to carry all that!
Sophia: No, just a backpack. Here you go. In it is your bus pass, your schedule, your food money, the library books, and your phone. C'mon, we need to get out to the bus stop.

Hazel: Looks interesting, Darcy!!
Buttermilk: Alright, so does everyone have their lists? Everyone have a buddy-
Bisquick: We're going into town today-- the annual Friday afternoon trip, and the chicks INSISTED that they come.
Snap: Every chick has to have a buddy, but we hens can roam on our own.
Pippy: *clutches Hazel* Hazel's my partner!
Hedwig: *cluthces Omelette* Omelette's mine!
Omelette: Hopey and I are gonna stop in the Nestbox Store, and Coop Decor!! =D
Hedwig: We're fixin' to decorate our coop-- it's so BLAH!
Hazel: Pip and I are also going to the Nestbox Store, AND we're going to Coop Decor, AND we're going book store.
Pippy: Said who?
Hazel: Yes, we're going to the book store.
Pippy: *GROAN* That means we can also go to Flying Corner!
Hazel: Fiiiiine.
Buttermilk: Everyone set? Let's roll!!!

[it is lunch break, and the chickens are assembling at thier table]
Selena: sorry I'm late! I took a long time finishing that test for egglaying.
Elanor: that's okay. Anyway, we have everyone here now except Will--does anyone know where he is?
Margaret: I passed him in the hallway. He needs to take a supplementary perching and balancing quiz to see if he can move up to the next level. That's probably what's taking him.
Sophia: So how do you think you did on the tests you took so far?
Elanor: They were really EASY!
Marianne: Yeah, somewhat easy.
Margaret: okay, I guess
Selena: don't even ask!
Whilloghby: Here I am! I get to move to AP perching and balancing next year!!
Sophia: good for you!!

Night: We're back!!
Rosy: Mommy had a BIG ballet recital, and then she was REALLY busy!
Fall: she won't be on next week, either, but she just wants us to check in while we have time!
Missy: and we're all fine!!
Princess: Missy is almost big enough to move out to the BIG coop!!

Snap: Alright! I got some AWESOME stuff at the Nestbox store!
Hedwig: We ran into Snap there!
Omelette: Literally, ran into.
Pippy: I got this cool book on flying!
Buttermilk: I was the productive one, and bought groceries.
Bisquick: I went to Coop Decor too, it was actually pretty neat!
Hazel: I LOVE the stickers we got there!

Selena: wish we had a coop decor here.
Elanor: We don't have a bookstore either. We get books mostly through out co-op's library and their book order forms.

Hazel: Aw, that's nice. At least that Sal has that sort of 'memorial' of them.
Pippy: Mommy says that they have another Junior on her hands! =D
Hedwig: And it's Pip. She got out for the second time.
Pippy: Thanks to my- *GASP* I almost uttered the words!
Hazel: The words is her secret on how to get out-- everyone sees how she does it, but no one knows how, if that even makes sense.
Omelette: It is literally, IMPOSSIBLE to get out the way Pip does!
Pippy: You just press a couple buttons, throw a couple balls, etc. etc. :3
Hazel: *rolls eyes* Oh man. Talk about ego....

So let me get this straight..
Hedwig looks like Juni and acts like Snap
Pippy acts like Juni

Fluffy: I have a pic of the Nest-Box store!

Adalynn: We haven't been on FOREVER!! Mommy was super busy...
Gywnnevere: Ooh!! Did you know that silkies are fluffy because their feathers lack barbules? And that...
Basil: Geek.
Ember: Basil...
Gwynnevere: I simply adore kindergarten!
Cora: I'm feathering in the fastest. I'm kind of brown with stripes.
Adalynn: I'm gold with flashes of lavender here and there.

Gwynn: My tail is really long. I hate my fluffy legs! They get in the way...
Dot: Mommy says that I'm special!

Basil: Yes, Dot, you're VERY special...

It's really a mixture of both. Pippy escapes like Juni did-- but Hettie resembles Junior a lot more than the rest. Example-- wondering off on her own (see my siggie
roll.png
) But, there is one difference that is not Junior at all. Junior very easily submitted to Bissy, but if Pip challenges Hettie, Hettie challenges her right back-- no submission at all. The hens will be on later...

Selena: Very bittersweet.
Sophia: we're done with school!
Elanor: until September!
Marrinanne: Ahhh, Summer!!

Pippy: Awesome guys!!!
Hazel: Isn't it sad?
Hedwig: Oh please, don't go ruining their moment, Hazel!
Omelette: Who would be sad that school ended?
Pippy Hedwig: Hazel.
Hazel: Hey! Some people like me will miss school. I like a good challenge.
Omelette: Well, maybe you can start a Nerd Club.
Hazel: That's a great idea!
Snap: We played football today with cheese!!!!
Bisquick: I'm the best defender on my team.
Buttermilk: The whole middle school at our co-op started this football team.
Snap: Games every Saturday and it is rockin'!!!
Bisquick: The whole middle school consists of hardly anything since it's just a co-op.
Buttermilk: But, fortunately they had enough people for four teams.
Snap: It's awesome!!!

Elanor: Three weeks until Autumn!
Marianne: Don't remind me. We can't free range all Autumn this year. Unless Mommy watches us, and she may have zero time.
Sophia: Still, our pasture run has recovered well from this spring when we used it all the time. Nice thick grass.
Colonel: Last fall, you lost two sisters to predators, right?

Pippy: Fall is my FAVORITE!
Hazel: It's where all the leaves fall off of the trees and onto the ground where I can SCRATCH them!!!!!
Pippy: -__- You said what I was going to say....
Bisquick: But fall also means school...
Buttermilk: Yay! :D
All chickens: *cricket cricket*
Omelette: *growl*
*All chickens look at Omelette*
Omelette: *growl* Don't look at me like that!
Hedwig: I JUST started molting! I'll look terrible for the start of school!!! D:

Elanor: No worries, everyone molts for school.
Marianne: another week or two and we will be done free ranging. :(

Kiki: Wow, I haven't been on here in a while!
Ginger: It's still pretty hot here! I can't wait until it cools down.
Kiki: Fall is the best, Ginger. It reminds me of the days Maple and I lived in KayKay's very backyard, with Phoenix, Bigfoot, Andie, Frizz...
Chuckles: I remember that... :( It's sad how many of our friends we've lost along the way. And how many years it's been. It makes me realize just how old I am.
Smokey: Chuckles, we. Are. Not. Old. It's just been a few years since the golden days of our chickhood.

Ginger: Oh, BBSJ, guess what? Puff's getting married!

Elanor: And who are you?
Sophia: *Browsing through BBSJ archives.* Here's their old posts. They first posted in the days of Sunrise, Susan, and Sal. Or some of them did.
Marianne: Oh, okay.
Colonel: So are you guys going to make it to the party??
