bit of advice please

Hmm I wouldnt worry too much about it unless it continues to happen. Are these new layers/young? I know when some of my hens first start laying they have these soft eggs-doenst even feel like a egg shell and I would find them around in the coop at times-maybe thats what it was and someone jsut pooped on top of it?

My girls are 40 weeks old, but when they started laying at 25 weeks we had some very strange eggs, as the reproductive system get into gear. Just like yours. The bonus was a few double yokers. And even thought we had an egg eater, but was just girls new to laying, accidentally standing on an egg before it had set. Things settled down very quickly. I just kept an eye on the nesting boxes as often as I could, to remove a broken egg as soon as possible. No egg eaters to date.

One of my older one lays shell-less eggs, it was a bit of a shock the first time but she keeps pumping them out, they usually eat it before I find it, but they leave the ones with shells alone so far. I only got her cos she was too old at two and they were sending her to the cooking pot, so she can continue with her creepy shell-less eggs, I'll love her anyway :)
