BITING!!!

Mine is still friendly with me. He still follows me around, begs for treats, and sits close to me. I've been lucky with roosters in general, but he is definitely the friendliest I've had and he is over two years old now.
Good to hear I did take a stick into the coop with me and tapped him with it when he does peck. He hasn't been doing it that much since I've started with the stick. Although he doesn't do it when I hold the stick so I've just been using my finger as well

FINALLY, HE HAS STOPPED!!!
Since I've been pecking him back he has stopped trying to do it to me.
He has gone to do it a few times then thought about it and stopped.
Thank you all for your advice on how to solve this problem I really appreciate it you are all so kind.
Thanks again!

That's probably a good sign of a good rooster. You want a little "punk" that protects his ladies.

If you want him to back up off of you, and this is a 50/50 chance, take a feed bag in the coop when he runs at you, hold it in the middle and above your head and flap it like bird wings (OK I know this sounds crazy but it has always worked for me and I'm 5+ roosters in). They think it's a bird of prey.. I guess, and they think twice in the future. It might take a few attempts with the bag, but it's always worked for me...
